Biography
Dr Sir Lawrence Albert Joseph KCN, CBE, PhD, LLM, – Knight Commander, Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
Sir Larry is a Barrister at Law (Lincoln’s Inn; London), LLM (University of London), BSC Econ. (University of the West Indies), and Notary Public.
He is called to the Bars of England and Wales, and Grenada since 1977. He firstly qualified as an Economist before becoming a barrister. In legal practice, he is an experienced Conveyancer, Civil and Public law legal advisor, and specializes in conveyancing, constitutional, administrative, land, company, banking, telecommunications, labour, and industrial relations law.
He has distinguished himself in a career highlighted by public service to Grenada and has served as a Magistrate during the early years of his legal career. When he returned to exclusive private practice, he was asked to share his extensive legal and governance experience by serving once again as the Attorney General from 2017- 2018.
In public life, he became Leader of Government business in the Senate, Minister of Education, and Minister of Labour of the Government of Grenada. He was President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Grenada and has deputized for the Governor General of Grenada.

BIOGRAPHY
Lady Joseph is an Attorney at Law since 1987, who is called to the Bars of Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Grenada, and the British Virgin Islands. She specializes in Civil Litigation and Advice, Commercial and Company Law and Company Management, Public, Land, Tourism Real Estate law, Conveyancing, Insurance, Copyright, Telecommunications and Utility Regulations, Employment, Tourism and Holiday Law, Family Law, Development and Human Rights law and advocacy. She is a Notary Public, Registered Agent and the Principal Representative of the Guyana and Trinidad Mutual Insurance Company in Grenada.
She is presently the Chairperson of the Customs Appeals Commission, Chairperson of the Regional Commonwealth Caribbean Association of Integrity Commissions and Anti-Corruption Bodies; immediate Past Chairperson of the Integrity and Anti -Corruption Commission of Grenada, having been the First elected Deputy Chairperson of the Commission in 2011 and also the Immediate past Chair and a Founding Board Member of the Caribbean Institute of Women in Leadership (CIWIL) and a former advisory member of the UNWOMEN Civil Society Advisory Group (CSAG) in the Caribbean, on UN WOMEN.
Lady Joseph is a former Solicitor General of Grenada. As a proven organisational leader, she was Chairperson of the Grenada National Coalition on the Rights of the Child, Chairperson of the Adoption Board, Commissioner of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, and Board member of the Child Welfare Authority. A Founding Partner of Chapman and Trotman- Georgetown, Guyana, she was President of the Guyana Bar Association, the Guyana Association of Women Lawyers, and the Tourism Association of Guyana. She also provides consultancy services for international organisations, NGOs, and the Government of Grenada and served as Board Member for Petrocaribe.
Lady Joseph has pursued post-graduate certification from the University of Oxford (Child Rights), The University of Defence, Washington (Hemispheric Defence Strategy), University of Gainesville, Florida (Utility Regulation Strategy), and the University of London (LLM degree in Law and Development).
